New Park, Same old stuff

This new park was right in line with where troops marched during the Revolution, so when I found the bullet, I kinds got to thinking, but I think it is a common 9mm round, as the base is exactly 9mm in diameter...heavy little bugger too...227 grains (225)...The gold disc is a punch out from something...Oldest coins 1953 wheat, 1961 and 1967 cents...gold necklace was an eyeball find on the tot lot and is 14grains of 14K ($22 scrap).

HH,

After some research, this bullet just may be old...

HH,

I was gonna say that that bullet doesn't look like any of the 9mm rounds I used to reload. It's been many years but I also think that 227 gr. is really large for a common, modern 9mm slug. You may have found a good clue. Let us know what you determine...good luck.

It is definitely from a Black Powder pistol or perhaps 40 cal rifle???
Did they use 40 cal in the revolution???
