New Old Coinstrike

I hate to admit this, but I just bought my fourth C$. My hunting buddy asked me why I didn't keep the first couple that I owned and here is my story. I am not wealthy and I like to try different detectors so I sold them to try the others. It seems that the C$ has lost it's resale value and that is a shame as it is a very good detector. I got a great deal on a very underrated detector. After the detector was delivered today, I took it for a quick check out hunt at a friends house. Twenty minutes and I dug two wheaties at about 7 inches and for the sake of testing, I dug pulltabs and junk. I knew the junk before I dug, but the detector performed just like my old ones. The numbers jumped all over the place on the junk and locked on with the coins. I have a couple of places that my previous C$'s performed like no other detector that I have owned and I am looking forward to giving these spots another go. R.L.

I like mine too. If it does lock on, its something round ,and I have found really deep brass targets with it. I took it to an iron laden beach last week and it performed just as I suspected ( and one of the reasons I bought it). Got some wheaties and an Indian head. There are lots of old coins on this beach, but you can see big pieces of iron all over the place. Also, there is a beach loaded with black sand and iron and the C$ ran smooth.

I think this is one detector that at first was misinterpreted and there weren't many tips/help on the forums. Then a few guys really used it and started posting settings and how to use it and I thank them. It made my learning curve almost nil, and I was up and running, getting good targets right away.

Its a keeper for me.

Here is a site that every coinstrike user should see.
Lots of good information here ...

Now get out there and find something ...

The pricing has been reduced, because the new Fisher has decided not to continue manufacture of the unit. They never carried over manufacturing of the Coinstrike from the Los Banos Fisher plant. All the new Coinstrikes being sold today are Los Banos manufactured.

The price of a new Coinstrike with a 5 year warranty is $550.00. One heck of a deal for someone wanting a top high performance detector that Fisher made, new or old company.

Coinstrikes in stock at Surfscanner Detectors. :clapping:

A coin just "sticks" from every angle no matter how deep they are. Large cents here were a +31, so I'd call my buddies over to watch me dig them up ;)
