Not only am I new to the MXT, but new to detecting period. I have had my MXT less than a week.. all I have done is poke around in the yard..then reread the manual 3 times.. gaining a little more knowledge each time.. mostly I have learned that my yard is full of trash.. but I have unearthed a few coins which is giving me confidence in myself and the MXT. I have some areas I really want to get to, but want my skills up some first.
I chose the MXT based on my reading here and other forums. It is turning out to be just right.. can be as simple as setting the presets, turning it on and going and at the same time gives you flexibility to change things as you learn more.
I also found a great local dealer. He just operates out of his house which gave me some concern at first, but he was a great guy with really a pretty good inventory. He strapped several models on me and walked me through an area in his yard where he had "buried teasure". I went in with a bias toward the MXT and that didnt change when i tried it.
one of the things I liked the best is that I dont have to put on my walmart reading glasses to read the screen.
I know that I will soon be fabulously rich and famous, but will try and remain the same humble person that I am now. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="">
I know that I will be back asking hundreds of stupid questions.. I am glad this site is here..
