Hello All
Just purchaced an Etrac and looking forward to learning how it works. I have always used Whites in the past so I may have quite a learning curve.Seems like it is an awsome machine
 
I just got on board this last week, if only we could get some rain so I can go to the field with it!! Good luck with yours bud:thumbup:

Me three, just traded a v3i on a E-trac but its too dang hot and dry in Chattanooga for any digging
 
You came to the right place to be able to shorten that learning curve as their are a lot of very experienced E-Tracers here that will be more than happy to help you out,Ray.

Auto sensitivity, stock coin program and listen.
Did a lot at first, but don't be discouraged.
Time with the machine will pay off.

I agree.. grab you some coins you normally find, and scan them. Listen to the tone each coin makes.. after some practice you will be able to tell what you are going over without even looking at the screen. For me the money is in the the sounds/tones. but screen will help with the questionable tones... Good luck..
 
Congratulation and yes I'm also new a this I have had mine a little over a month now and love it. But check on here read all post get the book by Andy Sabisch and go hunting and then come home and read some more. You'll pick it up quick then after your first great find the addiction starts .. Spark
 
Thanks all for the great welcome. It has been very hot and dry here have been out once and found a few older pennies 39 42 53 I hope to hit on a silver soon
They are calling for rain on the weekend so maybe I will get some more time out to detect. if anyone can help me with a good program for coins that would be great
