I like how they did it, hope this is not a dup posting.

Wellllll... I gotta say it was pretty darn creative... The women were beautiful.... Now.. if they could have just spent the $200000 it probably cost them to make it on some programmers implementing some firmware updates I would have been happier... But those women on the beach do make it tolerable...

That was a pretty cool video, even though I've never heard any of those sounds out of my machine. Maybe that's my problem! LOL!!!

Yeah.. I would be beeboppin across fields all day long if mine sounded like that...

What a waste of dough. Money that could have been better spent on improving their service department.

Hahaha! I love it. :clapping: I have thought about DJing with mine and people around me have suggested doing it. They have realized the CTX 3030's potential.

They need to fire the person who done that. What does someone get out of that commercial that's never metal detected. Maybe your mine lab will find a nite club with mermaids mixed with a circus. Hell what setting do I use to find that...

Chadwick
I think that is exactly what they want someone that has never detected think....

Well it works...... I found her around 3miles down.. 12-69 high tone... Why wasn't we told of this setting before

ha!

Hey GKMan. I just replied to the message you posted on youtube concerning this video.

Funny how they used the CTX on the beach in the beginning, yet had the tones of a GPX. Why bother doing that?

That would be "seawater."

I saw this on British forum's and it looks like almost all think its C""p .

The money its taken to make this stupid video could have been spent on keeping some of the people they have got rid of in Ireland " Des Dunne" for one.
Minelab has or is losing the plot , or is it Codan ?
I could spill the Bible of bad language on this but whats the point? :rage:

Its about time they got their heads stuck in replacing aging machines instead of what I think embarrassing themselves on this rubbish.

I still love Minelab machines by the way :D

Thanks for informing us Randy. I was wondering if it were made as a show-n-tale or something and them using the Minelab logo made me think that Minelab themselves had to endorse the production of that video.
There are several people flaming at Minelab for not releasing firmware, but instead dishing money out in advertising. What is your take on this?

Edit: I had to edit this because of I read your post wrong. It is corrected now.

MInelab did make the video. You can find the it's purpose on their website. As to my take on it.....from a marketing standpoint, I suppose it encourages folks to make videos using their detectors, which could be used in future product promotion. Promotion leads to sales, sales creates revenue, and increased revenue leads to having a larger R&D budget. In regard to those flaming Minelab for making it.....human nature, I suppose. I'd suggest that a larger R&D budget should accelerate future upgrades on their CTX3030. And if that transpires, the flamers won't even remember this video. HH Randy

Thanks for painting a more clear picture for us. Just like the movie industry, gaming industry, and most others, it takes a huge budget to launch a product or advertise an idea. Perhaps their advertising efforts increase revenue like you said and some of these people who are growing impatient become satisfied in future upgrades a.k.a updates. I myself would enjoy making videos of my hunts. I just have to find a good camera to do it with. I'm not one of those who plant things in the ground to give false presumptions of what they would do. What they would see is what they should expect, and yes area does count, but they would get the idea. Their strategy is a good one and if their endeavors adhere to the Minelab core then I'm all with it. With that being said, all I have to say now is...... Good luck and Go Minelab!

I openly admit I flamed it...But, it will be hard to forget with all those dancing girls...
I may be responsible for about 2K of the hits it has received from watching them over and over...
