New Minelab Advantage Detector

I have had an Explorer XS for about a year. As I looked around for a back up detector and one for my wife to use, I just discovered that Minelab has come out with the New Advantage Detector. It replaces the entire Musketeer line and is supposed to be much more sensitive and have much more depth. I know this is the Explorer forum, but I was curious if any Explorer users had any info, or ever used a Minelab Musketeer, and could give me any insight??

Not that I know of.. however someone postd a test he did with one, cant remember who but it was either on the relic forum or metal detecting forum at this site.. maybe a search of the forums will find that post

Joe,
Bill did a unautorized feild test on the new Minelab Advantage on the metal detector fourm. I found the first one which I am giving you the link too and then look on April 27th for the second one.
Gus from Minelab called me today and I have mine on it way to me so by latter next week I should be able to test it out.
Rick

Thanks Rick & Bill. Although the unauthorized field test was brief, the information answered most of the questions I had regarding this new Minelab detector. It looks like it might be useful in my detector arsenal.
I'd like to see what happens when Bill takes it to the beach.
