New member with new "X70"

G'day to you all from Cootamundra in the south west of New South Wales, or "VK2" to those who know the language. Have just received an X70 from Sydney, and was a bit dissapointed to find that the "flagship" of the range doesn't even have a dedicated user handbook, instead I received the "30" & "50" handbook instead, is this normal?. I know nothing about using metal detectors, having only owned a radio shack $60 special about 20 years ago. Please expect a lot of "dumb" ?'s like: What is meant by prospecting mode?, and, did I read that someone is putting together a book on the X70?, I want one?.

You should have received an owner's manual dedicated specifically for the X-Terra 70. The X-Terra 30 and 50 share the same owner's manual. Send an e-mail to MineLab and they will send you the correct Owner's manual. Again, welcome to the Forum and I hope that you enjoy your new metal detector and find lots of good things with it. Welcome to the forum. A lot of us just got the X-70 and are learning the same as you will. You will find a lot of help on this forum and as far as dumb questions remember there are none. HH Dennis in Idaho

Welcome John: I'm very new here myself and find this forum sure helps. Lots of folks with positive opinions, not a lot of complainers, which is good.

You should have received a dedicated X70 manual plus an instructional DVD, too. Just check with your dealer or ML and they get them to you, I'm sure.

I ask them...............I am wet behind the ears when it comes to metal detectors......never own one not even the ratshack
