My name is Skipper and I am in america on a one year work visa in law enforcement from Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia...Mount Isa is the worlds largest geographical city, larger then your state of Maryland with a population of about 40,000. Mount Isa also host the largest rodeo in the southern hemispere once a year.

Two of my co-workers use detectors, not Tesoro and told me about this forum. I purchased a Tesoro back in 1999 in which the name of the machine,Dingo, which was made for the Australian market only but had a hard time with the soil conditions...

The only type of hunting I do is gold and your type of hunting looking for everything and anything is new to me...The gentleman name Monte in which some bash and some praise to me is a blessing to new comers.

I went to the Pictures Of You, Pictures Of Me and Pictures Etc forum and had a look at many posts in which everyone was useing every type of detector ever built to find their treasure...
So what does a person who is new to the hobby pick a detector after reading Monte's posts and then looking at all the pictures of different models finding everything under the sun.

I purchased a Bandido 2 UMax with the white open center coil along with the 5" coil, what a killer that coil is and now I know why Tesoro will always sell...Light, easy to swing and very simple to understand...Tesoro will be selling for a long time to come no matter what people say about it......

Thank You All
Skipper

I have been to Mt. Isa....I have a very sad, tragic story about what happened to me in that town. There is a HUGE pit mine there! Welcome to America!
