Greetings to all! First time here. Decided to join after reading many postings over the last week. I just recently purchased a "next to new" used Quattro that I hope will arrive tomorrow or Thursday. Been away from TH'ing for many years and am now getting back into it. My experience as far as detectors are concerned has been a White's 4900/D, Garrett Grand Master Hunter, B.H. Big Bud, and the last one I owned was a King Cobra. Nothing even close to the technology of the Quattro, so I'm sure I'll have a few questions that I hope you folks can help out with. I do have Andy Sabisch's book coming in the deal also which I will read right away. I hope to share many photos of great finds with my Quattro in the upcoming season! Thanks.

Polestar, you'll be coming back with a bang using your new Quatro, and you're right on to read Andy's book right away. That's a good move, even though your already an experienced detectorist, it should help you learn this unit extremely well. You'll be glad you spent the time to read it, and let us know how your doing in the future here with Quatro. Love to hear and see the stories.:geek::(:|:yo::geek:

Your right about Andy's book, I think that should be the manual. I cannot imagine trying to figure it out with the limited info you get with the owners manual. Don't have many places to hunt up here in northeast Minnesota except a local beach that has some areas of exposed sand. I was out today hacking sand with a hatchet. Forgot my sunglasses at home and once I broke through the frozen surface I took another swing and ended up with a handful of sand in both eyes!
So far I really like the Quattro it already has given me good sense of confidence. Can't wait for spring to thaw things out. I have so many places in mind that I want to test to see if it's true about the "hunted out spots". Thanks.:detecting:
