Hi all.....just thought I'd drop in and hey from up here in Ontario. I've had my detector (Garret GTAx550) for a little less than a year now, but haven't had much time to use it. That will definitely change after having read all the posts in the forums..... Just can't let everyone else have all the fun.. :)

Happy Hunting
Steve

Yeah what are you waiting for? Drag that puppy out and dust off the cobwebs and get out there and have some fun. You're wasting a valuable tool. :)

I have the 550 as well.... good machine no problems with it. Love this time of the year. No bugs, less people out metal detecting, by the way semi frozen ground is excellent for clean cuts in the grass...stays real firm..just pop the coin out and slide er back in...sweet.Best of all is all that cold fresh air! Hope to see some picture of some up coming finds.

Cheers!

From the land of the Bluenose.....welcome to the forum. Lots of nice folks here with a ton of knowledge. Looking forward to reading your adventures.

Swing low, swing slow and dig deep.:garrett:

Thanks for all the encouragement folks, looking forward to getting out VERY soon...(darn snow)....hopefully goin' to have some pics soon....

If anyone's looking for a hunting partner in southern Ontario....let me know....

Thanks again...HH
Steve

People post here with their Garretts from all around the world. We all have one thing in common, and thats to have fun! And of course the machines themselves do a wonderful job of finding treasures. If you have any questions, just fire away! And please do post pics of your finds.

... is reported to be a great machine and Spanky up there is Canada does real well with his. He's the "go-to" guy at the moment on that one. Good hunting and welcome.
