Welcome to the Findmall MXT forum. You're going to love your MXT and a big thumbs-up  for selecting it as your detector. You'll be very happy with the cash return it will produce. Is this your first detector? We've got a great group of people here and if you check the back pages in the forum we've covered just about everything under the sun about the MXT, coils, pinpointers, etc. and we're always ready to respond with a quick response to a question. We've all found some pretty awesome finds in the past few years. While the snow is knee high, it's a great time to research areas of interest to detect. Talk to people, friends, etc. about detecting their yards, etc. We're all going to have a long wait for detecting............(unless you're down in TEXAS! Right Rob?)......with the ground froze and piled high with snow. :ranting: Welcome aboard! Nancy

Cut my teeth on the Ace250 and now that I've got more than just the itch, and after much research and recommendations, I pulled the trigger on the MXT. I've got permission on some nice old houses and a ghost town on the list, just waiting to unpile from the snow! I'm looking forward to the MXT, I know it's a great detector! Thanks and I'll be asking for tips and advice often! Thanks

The Ace 250 is a sweet little machine also. We bought my mother of 79 one and she loves it. Believe me, the MXT will not let you down. I've had mine for 8 years plus and I wouldn't trade it for any other. Larry uses the V-3, has owned the DFX for years, Minelabs, and other White's machines and I wouldn't trade my MXT for any of them. I can run with the best and still prevail. :) HH, Nancy

Welcome from Virginia. I think you'll really enjoy your choice of detectors. Good hunting.

Hi! I also just purchased a new MXT. It should arrive tomorrow. I'm so excited but like you, I'm under several inches of snow here in Colorado Springs.
I've found a little gold panning, and can't wait to try prospecting with my new MXT. The forum looks great. I hope to have lots to report soon. :)

The MXT is not a great machine. IT'S A GREAT AND WONDERFUL machine!
I started out a few years back with a Whites IDX Pro but stupidly sold it.
Bought an Ace 250 that sits most of the time in the corner, not that its a bad machine;
It isn't. . Then I bought the MXT; It's my main machine. I ever tried a Tesoro Vaquero
and ended up returning it a few weeks later. I thinks Whites is number One with Garrett
coming in a close second, in my opinion. Your going to have a great time!

This is a great forum and the MXT is a terrific detector. I have to agree with Nancy on this one, having owned and used most every model White's has made, the MXT is one that's on my list of "at the ready" detectors. My XLT for certain applications, the Coinmaster for quick-hits and mainly a loaner, and an MXT as a get-serious, do-it-all unit serve my needs.

Put in the time and learn/master the MXT and reap the rewards. Get a smaller coil (the 6

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase! HH, Nancy

Well, it's HERE! :) :clapping: I bought the MXT, 6x10 DD, 4x6 DD. I think I'm set up pretty well.
I look forward to posting my finds and info about the unit as I grow with it. The more I read on this and
other forums the happier I am with my decision to go with the MXT, Quick question.... What if any advantage does
the 5.3 concentric have over the 4x6 DD? Alot of people seem to really like it.
HH, Tyrolus

The 5.3 will have more depth at the expense of not as good in separation as the 4X6 DD.

Congrats and we look forward to seeing your finds. You're going to love the MXT. Personally I love the 5.3 coil in trashy areas. HH, Nancy

I'm fairly new to the sport myself about 100 hrs. went the first 20 with the mxt300,then purchased the sunray dx-1 probe, went another 10hrs,then purchased 5.3 went 30 hrs, then purchased the 4x6 went another 40hrs torn between the 5.3 and 4x6 so much that I'm going Monday to purchase the 6x10.Some may think I'm going overboard to tell you the truth if I was any where near the salt water I would do just that.Looking to purchase the m6 in the near future,O what fun it is to dirt fish.

Sounds like you're all ready to go. Gotta love it! HH, Nancy
