New Member and Detector

I have for years swung only a dfx by whites and still love it. Age has caught up with me and my neck and back hurt after an afternoon of detecting now. I went out yesterday and purchased a Fisher F11 just due to the weight and the price didn't hurt either. Her is a picture of my afternoon finds (about 3 hrs worth) at my local park and high school in TX. The ring turns out to be 24k sterling silver. I might add that some of the dimes came out of about 6 inches of dirt. I think I am gonna like my new light weight detector.

Looks like you had a great hunt! Silver doesn't come in karats, are you sure you don't have 24k white gold?

Howdy markotims--

I know what you mean about age and bad back. It sure is better than the alternative though! I have found that the "Swingy Thingy" has really helped me to hunt longer and relieve pressure on my arm, shoulder and back. It makes my DFX or V3i feel like swinging a feather. Nice haul there! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

All of my machines gets heavy and I do hurt after a few hours of swining them. Nice ring and good depth on your new F11 and wish you many more finds.
