B.H.505& TIME RANGER VERSION 4 WITH FISHER F4 DD COIL.

Stand up in front of the class and tell us a little bit about yourself. Coin shooter? Relic Hunter? What part of the country are you from? Hope to see you posting some sweet digs, HH!!

Hi jjadict
My name is Kevin I mainly coin shoot but im not to particular about what may be under the good earth. I live in Maryland and most of the soil here is very good , usually -3 on my time ranger ground moniter. Ilike to hunt Parks,
Schoolyards,Tot Lots, Old or recent Carnival sites, Matter of fact went out yesterday to a carnival site to test out my DD coil on the time ranger and the ratio of finds was about 2 to 1 and the nickle to pulltab ratio was about 3 to1, compared to using the 8 inch concentric coil that came standard with the T.R. I am still pretty new to posting and I dont have a camara. But as I learn I will try to get some pics for ya.
Thanks 505ranger

You can use a Fisher F4 DD coil on your BH? I would love to have a DD coil. How much that run you? Will it fit any BH?

Hello jjaddict
It took me quite a while to find this coil. It cost me $178.00 with s&h I found a B.H dealer ( authorized ) at dmobx@yahoo.com , You can check them out by visiting the Bounty Hunter Store website at www.detecting.com or just call the # 1-800-413-4131 . If you visit dmobx , If the link wont come up if you click on the site i have put in this post then type it in your search engine . Once the site comes up .go to the right hand upper corner and click on Fisher Metal Detectors, once this comes up click on coils scroll down to the F2/F4 coils and if he has any left the coil will be at the very bottom and it will say fits all bounty hunter models. I know I bought one from a different dealer and although it was a push in style connector it had 6 pins and will not work with any other machine but the F2/F4. The connector must be the old style push in with a 5 pin connector. I just saw a used one sell on Ebay yesterday for $51.00. What a bummer , any way i have all the coils for my Bounty Hunters 4in., 8in. ,10in. and was lucky enough to be able to afford this one but what a difference this coil makes, Only thing is learning to pinpoint. Your going to need a machine that either has a p.p button or all metal smart track, use this in combination with your depth indacator. If you allready know the basics of the DD coils. Then you will be able to learn to pin point pretty quick. I have to say this one more time only the 5 pin push in connector is compatable with bounty hunter detectors. If you go to the first page of this site you will see a quesstion from pocahantas saying TIME RANGER??? i posted about this coil there by accident but it will explain how to p.p with this coil using the TIME RANGER V4 only thing is i meant to say move the coil foward down the centerline until the depth meter reads 0 and the all metal hum stops then move the coil backwards until the depth meter reads a depth and the all metal hum starts again and your target will be right about there.
I received the coil in 3 days dmobx also emailed my order info and a USPS tracking # and site to track the the progress of my shipment. I hope this helps and man do i know thats alot of digs to pay for the DD coil , but now that i am used to the coil I dont want to switch back to any of the other coils .I hope this helps you out. I just checked dmobx and they are still showing they have the coil. There full store name is DM outstanding bargain xchange. This was the only place I could find this coil and I pretty much found it by accident. I just kept searching all the metal detector sites until this one showed up. Devine Providence if I ever saw it
happy huntin 505ranger
