Garrett is constantly doing research and developement with regards to metal detecting. When they have a decent new machine, it will be released. Garrett is very private about their new detector releases, so whenever it is ready, it will be released.

It's going to be wireless, built in blue tooth to be compatible with cell phone headphones, built in GPS to track the area, display light, and under $900 LOL too bad this hobby isn't as popular as fishing because if it was like fishing someone would of design a laptop with scanner and all you do is take the laptop out to the park and use a scanner and scan the ground, filter out the junks and GPS all the coins and good stuff and all you do is dig it, that's my take

The XP deus is doing a good job leading the way with technological advances, I have a feeling Garrett is playing catch up and will offer 1-2 more features over the XP Deus and will come in right at $995
