New Long Life Battery for WHITES

lofreco

New member
Just got the new AW-2200 Long Life Lithium Ion battery for All Whites Metal Detectors such as the TDI, MXT, etc.. Have it in my TDI SL. It has doubled the factory battery life! And it weighs much less. Recharges quickly, and does not lose life on the shelf.

Let me know if you have any questions.

John

How much did it cost?
And is this one that also fits the XLT?

Thanks

[size=large]i know myself from talking to the folks at New England Detectors that they will give ya a better price than what's adverised. msp $189.??.
and yes it's the same battery for the DFX, MXT, XLT and other whites machines. i haven't bought one yet cause of the cost. can't justify it yet. don't hunt that often. have been reading up on it though. not enough chatter about them yet good or bad.

I think I'll stick with eight "AA" High Capacity Nickle Metal rechargeable batteries, those 2200ma hold up really good, then eight regular batteries to get me home.

For about 25 bucks, you can get 96 AA batteries from Batteries Plus. I just bought a case for my Surf Dual Field and so far they have exceeded my expectations.

I was going to buy rechargeable batteries but the bother of having to buy a charger and the low cost of those 96 batteries (about 26 cents each) plus the convenience of just popping the 1.5 volt batteries in instead of worrying about them being recharged sealed the deal for me.

I figure that at 26 cents each, if I find 8 quarters, they just about pay for themselves. Everything after that is gravy.

i run the vx3 and AA batteries only last about 5 hours or so.. i have the lithium ion rechargable and i get 25 hours or more. no way would i want to changes 8 batteries all the time.. no fun at all. running the mxt,m6,idx etc any battery will work since they dont use alot of power. i can also charge the lithium ion from the truck while taking a 15 min break and that gives me 5 more hours of detecting. greatest thing since sliced bread.

Huh! Rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack from RUMDB.COM have capacity 2400/2600/3000 mAh. And low price. But delivery time too more... :sadwalk:
