I hit a new school yard tot lot today and did OK...The land around this school is HUGE!!! It will take me forever to cover it all...Might have to invite a few buds to help me...
Here is my take for the day minus about 10 bobbypins, 5 nails, 1 screw, 5 pieces of iron ore or iron containing rocks??? and 1 small orange soda can...;P

HH,

Lack of Quarters and Nickles makes me wonder....Appears to be young children attending this school and thus not promising for valuable rings and pennies and dimes don't add up quickly...

ya did good. the value for some is the hunt it's self.

Of course a full pouch with perhaps a ring and silver coin surely helps but......the thrill of the hunt, exercise, fresh air, etc. all priceless...

got to go hunting today. i live in the great N.W. that is to say S.W. Washington. it got to a high of 34 here. it quit raining so i ran for a school i've never hunted. got to play for about an hour. during the hunt two young boys strolled over to where i was. before they got to me i stuck my pointed tip shovel into the ground. i didn't see my coil sitting in the same space my shovel was headed. stabbed it real good. it still seems to work but not sure. it also started to rain and snow mix so i had to leave. no rain covers yet for my xlt. short of it is, i got to get out. i found $028 almost broke my coil and still enjoyed myself. gunna try it again tomorrow. with-out poking the coil. this is a great hobby. all inspired by you, gopher. thanks.
