I've been out twice and I found Apple Ipod (8 gigs color in the snow), a step to an old sliding board (about a foot down), and trash (lots of trash).
Does any one recommend a shovel that cut through roots?
I will also need a beach scoop strong enough for wet sand. should I get a long or short one??
I was think about a 3 footer?
keep in mind I don't have a ton of money left since I just bought the E-Trac!!

When it comes to diggers and scoops you get what you pay for. Might as well buy it right the first time and save money.

What's the difference in the one with the ball or the one with d handle?
Do you suggest a brand or a website?
Is a Lesche Shark good? They have a pointed one? and a flat bottom one?

Welcome to the hobby.

All I use and swear by is my Predator Tools Model 80T - Relic Pro. Predator Tools has a variety of awesome shovels. Been using mine for years and never had a problem. I can hack through roots with it too.

just bought a lesche ground shark! It's totally worth the money. The original lesche digger is also a favorite of mine. You should swing by my site www.mrkrayolacuffs.com and check out my upgraded arm cuff!

Welcome! I use an irrigation shovel. Union tools "razor back" series. They come in different sizes and lenghts and/or you can take the cap off sawzall the handle and put the cap back on. however, they are guaranteed for life, so you may not want to alter it. They go for around $29.00 at lowes.
