New here - Todays dig

G'Day everyone!

Ive just joined up and thought I would say hi and post pics of some old glass I found today.

Its actually the first time ive been out digging so I was happy to find something/anything!

I went for a walk in the bush that runs along the side of a local road and spotted some old tins rusting away on the surface, a quick poke around revealed lots of broken glass.
I spent about 4 hours digging around and came up with this lot.
It was easy going really as only the top humus layer contained finds. No heavy tools needed. :clapping:

In the top left corner there are a few which read "Spruso - for the hair."
There are a couple of white Marmite jars, a brown one which reads "Kruschen" on the base, the small one above the Marmite has "Faulding" written on it, the bigger ones say "Property of H. Jones & Co" and the others have various "Property of.."
There is also a bunch of glass stoppers.

Can anyone shed any light on the age of them?

Cheers
Ash

Great finds, I have just found a kruschen salts bottle as well . Showed it to my 80 yo uncle who says it was a good cure for stomach complaints in the 40s.Google search finds it is still for sale at 6.95.
Must be good! The power house muisem in Sydney has one with paper label and aluminium lid intact.
Great to find out about history while just enjoying a walk, Keep it up Ash, all the best.
