New Headphone Earmuffs worth trying

Sven

This is for you guys building your own headphones. I have found a spectualar set of earmuffs that are extremely comfy.
They would make an excellent set to purchase as an alternative to ProEars etc.

I found these at Rona builders supply in Canada
Degil Safety XP 008 Headband Earmuff.
Made in Germany

About the same cost as ProEars $34.95

Haven't been able to find them cheaper yet.

I'm not too fond of wire framed headbands, myself. I prefer the MSA 10087426MS left/RIGHT Ear Muff, Medium, Headband, Blue - available at Industrial Safety for $29.10 USD.

They're the same headsets the last version of Rat Phones were made with.

The blue ones are mine, the white are genuine Rat Phones.

Those are nice headphones but, many don't like the way the MSA feel either.
I'm not fond of wire frames myself but, the Howard Leight L1F's I have are excellent and there have been no issues with the wire frames.
They are extrememly comfy, more so than the Killer Bee's, DP's, etc that use the ProEar muffs.
And those Degil wire frame earmuffs I would gladly take over ProEar types.
I would have bought all the ones on the shelf at Rona if not for the price. Waiting until that store (closing) drops them down in price,
hopefully 50-75% off before too long.

The Howard Leight L2F's are also nice and priced right.

The Degil are just another alternative.

One of the disadvantages of the MSA left/rights is that they have a definite front and back. You can wear them backwards to get the cord on the side of your body you want it, but they are not as comfortable as when they are worn frontwards.

Alternatives are always a good thing, too.
