New Hampshire - Any luck?

I was wondering if anyone out there has had luck in New Hampshire. I live on the seacoast and have been to Hampton Beach several times this summer (I got my first md in May), not much luck other than some clad. I've detected woods around a river bank and didn't find much. Looked in my yard, only a couple of pennies.

I was hoping someone could give me some tips on (NH or not) where they seem to find items. I'm mostly interested in coins and the NH seacoast seems to have a nice history dating way back into the 1600's, but most everything is built up so you can't get to any of it.

Thanks

Schools and athletic/play fields. If you want to do research, you might find vacant lots that used to have stores or saloons on them. Also, where there were religious revival meetings. Also try the grassy area between the street and the sidewalks.

Thanks for the tips!, I've seen alot of people finding items on baseball fields etc. Have you found that you need special permission to md on these town properties? I've tried by train tracks, Hampton used to have a station that closed back in the 1930's. The only thing I've found is bottle caps, nails, broken track and rail ties. I've been searching right next to where the depot is. I'll just keep looking....

Laws on MDing vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Go on line and search municipal codes.
Think of how and where money gets dropped. When people reach into their pockets to get keys, coins can slip out. that might happen along the curb on the parking strip. When people are going into or out of a store, they sometimes manipulate their change. Old gas stations might prove fruitful. Where there are community festivals on vacant lawns and other places where people gather. I bet drunk people drop coins and then don't retrieve them.
