Hey Guys,

I'm heading to Grafton west Virginia this weekend, i figured i would spend a day in the mountains hunting. I have only been doing this for about a year now , so i do not have much experience.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any great places near Grafton for me to start? I have been looking online, there is a lot of history in that area but I'm not sure were to start.
Anything would be nice or even if someone would want to meet up, that would be great too!
thank you in advance for you time.

Jon

Jon,be careful there are a lot of snakes(copperheads) in the back mountain area.Black bears were introduced back to the forest areas and they have thrived.Watch for snakes, don't startle the bears or Moonshiner's.Don't wear anything with ATF written on it. Finally if some guy shows up with his cousin and you hear banjo music playing in the background, run like heck. HH Ron

Jon,West Virginia back country is some of the most beautiful country on the planet have a good time hunting this weekend, and yes even though I have lived in Michigan for years I can still hear that far away voice calling me home just like in the John Denver song. Ron
