NEW GUY SAYS HI, NEEDS ADVICE

Hello everyone. I am getting back into M.Ding. Currently have Garrett master hunter 7 from mid 80's and love it. Considering several models...GTI 2500 , GTP1350. I don't mind complicated equipment as long as once mastered it makes a difference. I pretty much will hunt freshwater beaches and some clay dirt areas for fun. I really am leaning toward the GTP 1350 simply because of such good reviews, staying with Garrett because of such great service. What you guys think?

Sounds good your choice of GTP 1350, is a great machine. If you think you will want more depth as in an ALL METAL MODE, definatly look into the GTI 2500 or the CX PLUS. I have the GTI 2500 and it will basically do it all! Good luck!

For just goofing around, the GTP 1350 should work well on freshwater beaches. The sizing and over size feature will save you time by leaving a lot of junk in the ground. I have used mine with both the stock coil and 10" x 14" coil on beaches as well. I suggest ( you probably already know this) you hunt in zero disc and dig all. Gold shows up all over the meter. The large DD coil covers a large area in a short time and also has an attraction to bottle caps (as do all DD's) but gets greater depth. I think you are on the right track Rob. Good luck with whatever machine you get. :)

As long as you have no need for all metal the 1350 is an excellent choice and will find about anything you want.
