New ground Part 2

Hi all
The last trip didnt go too well. Couldnt find the track in. But after talking with the owner, now have some coords in the GPS. With some hints on which area to look at. The wet season seems to have abated enough for now so will be going out tomorrow for another go. I am expecting the grass to be 6 foot high but there are a few creeks i can look at. Will see how we go this time.

Three trips out and finally found the ground. The grass is 6 ft tall and nearly missed the turn into the scrub. Didn't find anything, little ground to detect until the dry season fires go thru and clear it out. At least i found the spot. Bring on the dry and bush fires.

One thing i did find was! ground balancing the scorpion was quite a pain due to all the mineralisation around, is that a good sign of the ground or am i just not used to it yet? Should i run the scorpion in Motion disc or persevere until i get the ground balance happening? Any comments welcome.

P.S. There was so much mineralisation it was sending the PRO Pointer crazy trying to dig a target but then nothing as i dug and broke up the ground!!!!!!

You've certainly had a few cyclones go through up north!
Good luck with the race track. You might have to pack a mower next time out.

No cyclones in the NT yet. Qld has been coping it so far. Buggar the mower the grass is too high, will wait for the dry season to burn it off.
