New GP Pro do i have a problem?

Just got it today and started learning the controls which seem easy enough. I say that assuming the machine is faulty.

When setting the discrimination the Disc. number at the bottom right has to reach 40 before it starts blanking out any of the graph segments. I can run the disc.numbers and graph to 80 where it stops and at no point do i get a shaded area just all blank.
The numbers displayed at the bottom right do not match the graph number until they get to 80. At 50 on the scale the display number reads 65.

So am i doing somthing wrong?
All help is appericated.
Thanks guys

Well a big Thank You for Bart at BBHs.He call me and got me straightend out.
Nothing wrong with the machine. Deal is when i was outside in the daylight i could not see the difference between the blacked out segment , shaded seg. and the blank seg. Inside my shop under a light i could see all three.
Do you guys have a problem seeing the seg.graph in bright daylight? Will have to try it with my glasses tomorrow. Hoping i would not need them with this machine but it is what it is.

Hey J,
I only look at the graph when in all metal mode. No need in disc with those big #s.
Congrats on the new bug, the more you use it the more you will love it.

I agree but the thing is i could not see the graphs shaded section and did not know if it was working properly. I like the big numbers also and like the fact that i can see all that i really need to see without my glasses. May have to wear them if i want to make any fine disc. adjustnments. t is staright forward and simple enough that after a little use i should be able to set it without even seeing the shaded out section.
Thanks guys
