New Ghost Town Detecting Video

This place is loaded with iron, and has been hunted for years, and finally after the third trip there in as many years, old coins are starting to come to light using my F75 LTD!

Thanks for looking, LOTS more to come, HH,
Brian

you need a bush hog, or a machete, or a match! Nice vid, didja ever try hunting in that pond? I'm sure you did. Looks like the place burnt down eh? Nail city! Thanks for the hunt.

Enjoyed the video Brian. I never hunted a ghost town so had no idea what you are up against? Thanks for taking time to make the video. Happy Trails....Z .

A match would be nice :) Actually a fire went through there months before my first trip there over three years ago, but I didn't have a clue what I was doing then :)

It burned down a few times, with the last time being the 1930's (although a few buildings remained). It had a dance hall, bowling alley, bath house, 1890's golf course, general store, butcher shop, wells fargo office, post office, the works, and apparently could accommodate up to 5,000 people in it's heyday. You'd never know it to look at it now, but even though I know the place has been hunting many, many times, I'm sure there are still plenty of goods to be had by either working that iron or finding a remote spot that's not been covered yet. It's there, I'm determined to find at least one 1800's silver coin there :drinking:

HH,
Brian

There's all different, but they all tend to have one thing in common - extreme trash/iron. Considering most of the easy targets are long gone, the majority of the finds are left to those who take the challenge to hunt in the thick of the metallic soup left behind to rot.

My next video should be a lot better, several Nevada ghost town trips, and some nice finds.

Thanks for looking, and HH,
Brian

Even though for the most part the jewelry didn't turn out to be that spectacular (lots of sterling silver, but only two pieces of gold), it was a blast to find and recover that loot! Certainly very unexpected.

I need to hit that area again and see if there's anything else around there, you just never know :bouncy:
