New Garrett $1000 Detector?

You have probably already asked the question or wondering when Garrett will upgrade the old GTI line (imaging). Heard from a Garrett distributor that there is one in the works. It sounds like viable news since they came out with the starter, Ace 350 then the mid line (more like a top of the line), AT Pro and now something to run in the top of the line or $1000 range.

Would like to hear your opinion?

Rob.
While they are always working on something new, they aren't going to let on till it's about to be released. If you were on this forum in the lead up to the release of the AT Pro, which had info about it released before Garrett's were ready, then you can appreciate why they keep that sort of info very close to their chest. A lot of folks got keen real fast, and also got antsy waiting for it to be released.
It just wouldn't be good for them to tell us till they are bout to release it.
That said; I'm sure that some of the AT Pros new features may well become standard features on their new upmarket detectors. Time will tell.
Mick Evans.

There is no new detector in the works as far as I know, but Garrett I believe have a lot of ACE 350 and AT Pro machines to build to keep up.....

I have heard they are working on a new Imaging detector as well as multi/dual freq machine...perhaps all in the same detector. That would be cool!

That makes perfect sense and I noticed that the imaging detectors are
now on sale. Clear the old ones out at the factory for the new models!

You can bet that whatever they do, it will be top shelf. I use all of the major brands, currently the Minelab E-Trac is my favorite, but I have sucked up hundreds if not thousands of silvers over the years with many different Garrett machines. My wife is currently using a 1350, and just keeps pulling coins and jewelry. I am proud that we have some of the best equipment in the WORLD manufactured right here in the U.S.A. Keep it up guys.
