Weatherproof! Says tested underwater for 5 hours no leaks!! I think these use 2 AA batteries. Nice!

The series is - F11, F22, F44

The 11 is a new entry level machine, the 22 and 44 replace the F2 and F4.

Waterproof is huge! That means anything that they can fit into that shell is waterproof - think PI machine for the beach or multifrequency machine for the beach to go up against the Notoriously leaky Minelab CTX or the troublesome Excalibur.

Also - rumor has it that it wall cost half as much as an AT Pro.

It says Weatherproof, not Waterproof.

Big difference between weatherproof and waterproof.

You're right Mike - I shouldh have said weatherproo. Mind you that's plenty good enough wading around in lakes and streams where a dorp or fall is all you have to worry about. Without a multifreq. or PI platform in this cse, salt water is pretty much excluded anyway.

Minelab has learned that the hardway with the leaky CTX's. It will be a trainwreck when these go out of warranty. The new GPZ detector uses the same case and is advertised as "weatherproof" - lesson learned.

I expect Fisher will never make another "waterproof" detetor - a 5 year warranty on one of those is lakely to be a moneysink.
