So got this questionable signal that I decided to dig the other day, this brooch was about 4 inches down, I think I'll go
back to the hole and look for the stones/glass from it. It's gilded brass Victorian or art nouveau, I think. could be a sash pin as well.

I always like finding that sort of stuff.
 
well I did more digging today, had off work to take my boy to ortho. dug a bunch of junk, but still had fun. my yard is such a pile of old metal!!
I shall keep digging those questionable signals till my hands are bloody and raw..lol
I'm too the point where I'm sure of a good signal, but I just love finding old stuff!! It's a good history lesson at worst.
