I found this today at the old home site I've been hunting. I almost threw it away thinking it was a piece of metal with holes rusted throught it. The back had a little tab that looks like it hooked on something...maybe a buckle.
 
Nice find Theresa. Whats is made of, what kind of reading did you get? Very intricate detailing.
I have no idea what it is though.
