New Farm field for today and tomorrow. Will the XT70 do a good job? We'll just have to wait and see

For me, hunting a new field site around here is mixed with the anticipation of what someone may have lost and the distinct possiblitiy that nobody even passed through there! I have to keep my eyes open for broken glass, pottery and nails. You have a couple hundred more years of past civilization back East, increasing the chances that someone may have lost something of value. I hope they did and I hope you find it. Good luck on the hunt and keep us posted. HH Randy

Randy, fields up here are usually productive. Farmers and others did a lot of hand work in those fields, cutting hay and tending crops, so they lost things, mostly buttons but sometimes coins. A field with a farmhouse nearby is a plus as the farm kids ran around the fields. They have to be my #1 spot. Of course, something like I found in the woods today got my heart thumping. Nothing for finds, but look at that stonework! Ron
