New Fall Detectors and the Golden uMax

 Hi Guys, I am anxiously awaiting news about the reworked Golden Umax. I hope it comes out this fall because that is my busiest hunting season. I have been hearing rumors about other brands producing new models in the fall also. My dealer told me that White's is working on something to compete with Garrett's AT Pro. I hope Tesoro has the means and finances to come up with some new stuff but just having a new and improved Golden would thrill me. I finally got the hang of the Golden's notch system. It took me a while ( I barely made it through high school) lol:lol:

want hold my breath but I will still be an Avid Tesoro Owner no matter what their decision is

Why fix whats not broke?

New model here, new model there ... New model every 6 months which does the same under a different name.
That new model just outdated your current model, and now gives the factory the "we cant get parts for these anymore"
speech which Garrett and Whites is famous for, and there you are now with a broken, non replaceable machine.

When a machine works, as well as the Tesoro machines do, theres no need for a new machine.

A new golden u max with the higher 14 kHz frequency, for improved jewelry hunting, with 4 tone ID, for fast cherry picking, with all metal no motion pinpoint, for fast recovery, would sure be nice.

The only thing I think Tesoro should try is a new Gold machine. The Lobo ST (never had one) seems to be a good machine, but I cant imagine it will be on the market much longer. If they put the lobo tracking circuit in the diablo Umax and gave it a grab feature that would be sweet.

I would like to see the Diablo uMax merged with the Vaquero, Coils are already compatible. Call it the Dust Devil LOL A reintroduction of the Diablo uMax would probably sell out.

Ha! Isn't that the truth. Heard that song and dance from White's along time ago. Still have a White's detector sitting around DOA for lack of parts availability. "Sorry, we don't support that model anymore.... no parts..... all gone."

One of the reasons I'm looking at Tesoro this time around. They don't seem to play the "new" (sure it is....) model game every 6 months.... shuffle this screen, change the color, change the name... rewrite the sales pitch to sound new.... I think besides bells and whistles... the technology is pretty much peaked. I think most models are pretty close in performance and the difference is in the operator these days. If one really learns his machine he can compete with most other detectors that cost much more......
