new F75 doesn't work!!

Is it me or what? I have a brand new F75 that I purchased last week and put it together today to try it out... And the menu button does nothing!!! I push it and nothing changes on the screen at all.. Glad I didn't take it out to the feild and waste my gas.. Is there a secret? This isn't making me happy a 1000 dollar machine that looks to be bad out of the box.. Yes the batteries are correct and changed to some fresh... Tried to reset it and nothing except 75 comes up and stays there.. Any ideas??

Make sure the cable is plugged in ALL the way.

Pull your Pinpoint trigger back 1 time and see if it will start working. Mine will do this sometimes.

The batteries and the cables are the first things I checked... Pinpoint doesn't make a difference.. Used both coils and still the same..

Ray, Sorry you had a problem. Send the detector back to me and I will send you a new one or I will send your old detector back and your money + any money that it cost you to ship plus Paypal fees...sorry again for any problem....RIchard

Thanks Richard, thats the reason I purchased from you... I knew if there was a problem you would make it right!! I'll send it back monday morning and take one that works please... Does shake my confidence level in first texas products... Sure hope it lives up to the hype..

Cosmic, Don't put the coil cover for the stock coil back in the box.....keep the 6" coil too....I will reimburse you for your shipping...Tnx and again I apologize for missing out on an opportunity to hunt...Richard

Cosmic, I sent your shipping refund to you via Paypal Richard

To Other Forum Members:
Brief Explanation: I normally let the company who supplied the defective detector issue a pick-up and send another detector... I knew Cosmic was wanting to
get some hunting time in and sometimes the detector company is a day or so behind... with that in mind, I went ahead and stepped in for the company.... When an
individual spends a $1000 on a detector, he don't won't to be stuck with a bad detector for 4-5 days...Hopefully we speeded up the process some ... As far as Fisher is
concerned, they will issue a pickup for me and take care of the problem or send a new one... Thanks to all, Richard

Thankyou Richard, it arrived today!!! It does work so far... I'll try to take it out tomorrow.. The reason I purchased from you from everything I've read here and its very true,YOU are a stand up guy!!! You made it righter than the factory would have... If your looking for a detector Richard is the man to purchase from!!!
Thanks again,
Ray

Yep, I'll second that. I've purchased two detectors from him already and a third is on its way. He's a standup guy with a sterling reputation and VERY Customer Oriented. Thanks again Richard.
