just got here today and i mounted it vertical on the Minelab Vest.hope it works.
 
Hey Bling!

Let me know how that vest mount works out. I should be getting my Excal II tomorrow. I may wait until Bertha rolls through to hit St. Aug. beaches. In the mean time, I'll be working some of the old parts of G'ville.

Glad to see that you go yours. Mine arrived yesterday. Problem is that I don't live near a beach and it's killing me.:rant:
 
it worked perfect! didn't find any Gold but don't surprise me as my beach gets hunted by 5 other guys.settings about the same as my GT..did have to back the sensitivity down to 6 in the waves,up to 8 on the wet sand.so far "I LIKE IT".:clapping:
 
What is ""The Minelab Vest" is it something that you made yourself?
 
no,its a load Bering vest made to carry the battery of the GPX 4000 Minelab..i bolted the hip mount vertical on the back,out of the way.
 
That's some food for thought. I've benn trying to decide how I want to hip-mount my Excal.
