New Excal 2

Guys: I was out playing with my new excal 2 in the yard tonight. I tried switching between pinpoint and disc modes to get a feel for the different signals when hunting. I found that the pinpoint mode was easier to discern targets with then switched to disc to see if they were iron. My question is what mode are you hunting in at the beach and lakes? Do you regularly hunt in discrimination mode or pinpoint mode? I plan to hunt the lake soon if it warms up this weekend to learn the new Excal. Lots of loot to you!!

For me, it depends which beach I'm hunting. One spot that I hunt is hunted regularly by a few people and is therefore pretty clean. Here I will hunt in pinpoint or all metal and dig everything. Another spot I do has lots of old iron pipes in the lake and junk so I will discriminate here and run at about 3. If you're lucky enough to find a good clean beach, hunt in pinpoint. Your rewards will be fantastic.Good luck and hh.

Thanks for the response. I will head out to the lake next week and hunt the dry lake bed and try out both modes. There should be alot of trash in the lake, mostly aluminum and lead but hopefully some GOLD!!
