Ok so i traded my Safari in on a new Etrac! Very excited. I have loaded Bill s coin program in it an also Goes4ever TTF program to it. Any other tips an tricks will be very much appreciated! Looking forward for some silver. Now if the snow would just melt. HH all.

I'm sure a lot of us here could write a whole encyclopedia on eTRAC tips and tricks.
IMO I'd put some miles on it first then the tricks and tips would make more sense.

Never used a Safari but i made a big mistake using my eTRAC at a real trashy pull ring park, my first real world detecting session at a park.
Those constant maddening tones dam near made me wrap the thing around a tree!!! What the H, my old Garrett never acted that way!

Went back to 'pull ring' park again a little smarter this time, discriminated out pull tabs. Found a handfull of clads and a rosie silver dime.
Unfortunately, that also discriminated out some gold too.

Congratulations on the Etrac!! I've had one for about three months now and love it! Still learning things.......but have become very comfortable with it.
You will really enjoy your new Etrac:detecting:

Yea i think so too. The Safari was good. Has the same sounds so should be a easy transition. HH

You already having experience with a Minelab machine.......not a huge transition. I also had already used a couple of Minelabs before I got the Etrac. I wish you luck and a lot of great digs:thumbup:

I had a Safari before I went to the E-Trac .
Your really going to enjoy the extra features of the E.T. ... the dual target ID, more setting options, better balanced, lighted display for night hunting, etc.

Good Luck !
