New Etrac comming

foreign object

New member
Got an Etrac ordered. Plan is to use as a backup to my CTX and use is less trashy spots.
For the most part I keep the 6" coil on my CTX and would use the Etrac when hunting sites with less trash. Have been using TTF on the CTX some just to get to know it but am looking at using 4 conductive tones on the Etrac with some disc. Have any of you guys used the 4 conductive tones much and what are your thoughts on how I plan to use it?

I use combined on the CTX mostly and it is starting to click and the finds are getting better.

I know they are two different machines but I hope they are enough alike that once set I will not have to many problems swapping back and forth.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like a wierd plan to me but whatever floats your boat.
If I was throwing that kind of money around , I'd opt to back up the 3030 with a Deus for the faster processor and the trash(iron) separation.
Multi -conductive works best on the etrac for me unless I'm running ttf at a site relatively free of modern trash

Had the Deus along with the CTX. The Deus is alright but there were things I did not care for .
I have been digging silver with the CTX that I missed with the Deus and im sure that if I had kept the Dues the reverse may happen at times but I think the id of the CTX is way ahead of the Deus even in heavy trash.
I really don't have money to throw around but a unused full warranty Etrac for $1070 is hard to pass on.

I understand--I'm wrestling with the same type of offer on an unused CTX with the 6" coil for 1800 that would be a back up to the etrac. :(

What's a guy gonna do?

FYI I enjoy the light weight of my F75 for a change from the etrac--- it's no more pleasant to swing than the CTX
