The backlight appears to be on constantly since no control is mentioned, yet the battery life is listed as the same as the Excel(20-25hrs). Unless they have managed to reduce current draw elsewhere in the design, then methinks battery life has to decrease.

A 10.5" coil is mentioned, therefore the question is whether the 8" Edge coil is the same as the Excel coil? And therefore will the 10.5" work on the Excel?

Thanks for bringing this up.......I asked Fisher because I noticed the prototype didn't have it, & as you say.....I was wondering if their was one, how it was turned off & on. But that was a misprint in the spec's and FRL is glad we brought that to their attention.......
Backlights are nice for night hunts, but really do kill batterys fast.
For the coils.....I would imagine it will be like it was with the C$,,,,,come out with the stock 8" for X-mas, & have the 10.5" planned as an accessory after. I told them a small one would be great too.......HH< Bill
