new easy way to metal detect

airbrush

New member
I have found that walking and dragging the coil on the ground behind me that i find just as much as swinging the coil. And a hold lot easier on me.

couldnt the coil become damaged if say it hit a stump you missed while walking forward? at least while swinging it its off the ground. like the idea though ;)

U don't have to walk fast. go slow it will still pick up try it. I ant seen no stumps in the parks or ball fields. If u are swigging id u ant on the ground, u are losing death.

I don't know about detecting less ground .when swigging u have to stop at the end of each swing to make the next swing, Dragging the coil behind its moving all the time ,

I agree with Flash...seems like a slow way to detect, but if your still finding the goods this way, all the power to you...

HH,

Oh don't get me wrong...I do this also when leaving the field...I either do this, or swing kinda fast and lazy in front of me and will stop if I get a good signal...

HH,

Exactly, if you are walking you might as well be swingin... :)

A few years back I was hunting a beach up here and I see this older gentleman having his coffee while he is reading the beach. I looked up just in time to see him turn his unit on, he looked puzzled. Turned it off and on again, same problem. His coil was sitting on top of a fat gold ring, He always fires up in all metal mode.
