New E-Trac

I was hoping someone could help me. I just got a new e-trac and this is also my first minelab and was wondering a good program to run, because I got permission to hunt a 1740s house in upstate Pa..Any help would be appreciated since I am new to this machine.

Start out with the factory set coin and the high trash,

Stock coin mode, auto +3, fast on, high trash, deep off, gain 18, learn the minelab wiggle,( goes4ever vid on pin pointing) slow sweep speed( when you think you
are sweeping slow go slower) and take your blood pressure pills.

Air test and coin garden to give you some idea what id targets is. Go to playground and lot of coins out there to give you to get know more on your great machine!

Here are G4E's settings. Also open up the upper right corner of your pattern for halves and dollar coins.

You don't want to waste this old site on newbie skills so learn your detector at a clad infested park, practice holes etc... I guess you can always go back later if you are allowed? Old sites randomly reveal more coins on their own as rain and nature shift junk and targets too.

Definitely what ryanchappell said or you'll miss big silver.

Yes to what the others already posted.

Just take your time - swing low and slow and listen for clean breaking /quick on & off signals that have little or no target number bounce .
If there's a lot of iron - use a smaller coil if you have one !
Good luck !
