New E-Trac

Ray Hogan

Member
Well, for the most part, it was this forum that finally wore me down enough to order a new E-Trac, which I did this morning. Now my question, which has probably been addressed countless times before. As far as smaller EXcelerator coils .... I'm debating between the 6" round or the 4.5x7" eliptical and probably leaning towards the eliptical. Any advice? Thanks, Ray.

I see that the supplier has the coil for $99.99....that seems like a deal. Would an additional lower rod help with swapping out coils on the detector? Thanks, Ray.

Ray---It sure would!--I have all my extra coils mounted on their own shafts.----It REALLY makes it a snap (changeing coils) if you have the Sunray in-line probe mounted on your detector.------Del

Dels right, lower rods for your coils makes it much easier. especially on the etrac/explorer where you have to feed the cable up through the rod. I always have to use a string to pull my cable through, when intially mounting a coil.
