Ordered a new E trac. I cant wait to get it. It will be a big step up from my Ace 250. I am sure I will have questions so stay tuned..LOL

Thanks..
Dale what part of Iowa are you in? I am in the Des Moines area

You will do fine, the etrac is super easy to use right out of the box, you can literally turn it on, not change a single thing and go dig coins deep! It is a turnon and go machine in my opinion.

Thanks and I enjoy your youtube videos. I subscribed a couple weeks ago

Exactly....with a whole lot of customization potential!

Congrats on the upgrade DK! I used to own an Ace 250 too. The difference between machines is like night and day =)

Congrats on the E-Trac! Holler if you have any questions!

Will do.. Thanks for shipping it so fast.

Good luck with your new E-Trac !

Etrac is a excellent machine super easy to learn. I'll always have mine, infact it's in my back seat right now!

Congrats on the new acquisition!

I hope you like it.

I really like my E-trac and find it is a rpleasure to hunt with. I'm sure that you'll have questions about settings and so forth. If you do a little 'search' research, you will find a number of posts about how to set the detector up for hunting for all sorts of different things.

I have 2 suggestions for you. First, get a copy of Andy Sabisch's book, The Minelab Explorer &* Etrac Handbook. It explains both lines of detectors and will give you solid foundation on how your E-trac works and how your handful of settings influence your results.

And second, experiment with settings AS YOU ARE OUT HUNTING and see how the real world effects your detector. Find a deep target and chang the sensitivity from manual to auto or vice versa. How does it effect the Target ID and the audio. (The Explorers and E-tracs are very audio based.) Make a change or two and see if it improves or worsens the target signal.

Good luck with it.

Well.. The last two hunts have produced some more silver. My list of things I wanted to find this year is getting checked off fast. I wanted to find an Indian head and a Washington quarter a buffalo and a war nickel along with a few others.
The Washington was 10 plus inches down.

The way your hunts are going, you'll have everything checked off your list and be able to re-sale the machine by Christmas!

Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on the finds.

I'm loving this machine! Found more silver this week than I had all summer with my Ace 250. Silver ring, and Mercury dime today. There is a clasp on the bracelet has a stamp of 14k but the gold charm was no where to be found. Also found a Mason penny which if anyone knows anything about them let me know.
Thanks
