New Dust Cover Installed On Gold Bug Pro

Got my dust cover in today so I decided to finished off the final phase of my detector finish protection mods on my Gold Bug Pro DP

The cover is for the Tecknetics Greek series detectors (same control housing without knobs) I fitted the cover over the Gold Bugs control housing then I marked were the knobs go with a sharpie on the clear material, then I slipped a thick envelope between the clear face material and the back inside of the cover. Then I took an empty 45 ACP shell centered it over the marked spots for the knobs on the clear material and tapped the shell with a small hammer driving it evenly through the clear plastic making perfect holes for the knobs to stick through. The 45 ACP shell is perfect for cutting the holes leaving no air gap around knobs. Yon may notice in the pics the black areas were the face plate buttons are, I made some small Velcro tabs and placed them on the plus & minus and ground grab pinpoint buttons to minimize long term face plate wear when depressing buttons over time. The Velcro is a soft flexible material and works very well. The only drawback is you can not see the plus or minus marks. No big deal the right side is plus the left is minus.
