New dollars

John D.

New member
OK everyone out there,
I went to the bank and got $50.00 in the new dollars. I plan on doing this every payday to help get the new dollars in circulation.
If we all do our part, we will soon be finding $$$$ along with the many clads
Have a great day,
John D.

and as I stated in a previous post labeled "I do hereby propose...", I will be spendin' 'em!! I've already put $125 of them into circulation and am getting more today. Do your part everyone and do away with the dollar bill. It costs way more to print a dollar bill than it does to stamp out a dollar coin!! Go to you're local bank today and get some, don't delay. I know some people might hoard them at first, but after awhile, the novelty will wear off and they will put them in their pockets and some will become lost for us to find. I would rather find $1500 woth of dollar coins than $15.00 worth of zinkers!! Just look at what the Canadian and Austrailian detectorists dollar totals are and then decide. Hey, you gotta spend money anyway!!

I haven't seen one yet. Is it true they took off the phrase "In God we trust?" If so I'll not help anyone circulate them!

Good luck with your new dollar coins. I think you will find that the $1 bills will go the way of the Dodo bird pretty soon, and the $2 coin shouldn't be too far behind (if history is anything to go by).:hot:Personally, I love hunting them!

In God we trust is on the edge of the coin. Besides just because we put it on the coins doesn't necessarily make it true.

If those words are missing on the edge you can get about $200 or so for the coin on Ebay as a mint error.

Only two Banks out of four in my town has any new GW's

alott of them dont and sell on ebay for lots of $$$$$$$$ I would like to find one and get it slabbed first though who will be the first to find one in the gorund?

good luck to all SAhunter

In addition to "in God we trust" on the edge of the GW dollar, there is the mint mark and "E Plubis Unum". There are a few people on Ebay that are selling GW dollars with the words on the edge allegedly upside down. Those dollars are not going for much over face. However, the ones that are blank are going for quite a lot of money!
