New Diamond Tester on the way...

Bought the tester in the link below, except got it on eBay for $179 from a reputable source. That was part of the money from the refinery check.

$300 also went to make a final payment on another diamond ring that we had on layaway...a companion ring to go with the $4000 sparkler I found to turn it into my wife's new "wedding set". And a new waterscoop and a P4 3.4 GHz CPU to upgrade my computer from the 2.6 GHz chip that was in it. And I still have a little left over!

I'm looking to get a Diamond tester, but know nothing about them. I've seen some of your post with a tester. Can you give me some advice on what to buy.

Well, as you know, I don't have one YET. But this one came highly recommended from a couple of forum members and it has the main feature that I want that so many lack. And that is that it can not only differentiate a real diamond from a CZ (Cubic Zirconia) or glass, but also can detect when the "diamond" is actually the diamond imposter called Moissanite, which is becoming more common in fake rings. And most of the cheaper testers will ID it as real when in fact it's not. There are a few that will and the one I have coming does. Here is a page where you can read about several testers.

I found the one I have coming on eBay for $20 cheaper than above, at $179. I also saw it for $229. The Ceres Dual XL is supposed to be real good too...I think VaBeachRon has that one. The lady I got mine from on eBay shipped it today and it's on it's way. I only bought it last night, so I'm pleased with that.
