New DF Surf PI

New member
Just bought myself a new DF and tried to do an air test.My results were less than impressive.I could not detect anything more than 3 or 4 inches from the coil.Is there something wrong with my new detector or is this typical of PI detectors?

YES IT'S BROKEN HOW MUCH U WANT FOR IT HEHEH ALL MACHINES DO NOT AIT TEST WELL

Air testing means nothing... proof is in the finds.... most items except gold are going to give off a halo effect this is what your detector will react to .... listen for the in threshold whispers...

Its not typical. Set Gain to the preset. Pulse Timing to the initial position and Threshold to its pre set just for this test.

Both a one cent (I used a 2003 one) and a Quarter (again I used a 2003) should give an audio response at 11 inches.

If your still not getting near that after a change to new batteries (forget the detectors own battery test) then it needs checking out.

Thanks for all of the help guys. I did another air test today with better results, I had the same settings, not sure why the results were different. Thanks again, Joe
