Ditched my ctx for the deus. Liked the ctx but the weight was killing me after long days. Still Learning the deus but love that it is lightning fast and lightweight. Hope I get the tones figured out soon coming from minelab it will be a adjustment. Looking forward to getting my New aftermarket headphones that use the ws4 module from Vance metal detectors.

You may like using "full tones" under the "disc" expert menu. Seems that many Minelab folks prefer this over setting breakpoints, etc.

Welcome! I did the same. I still believe the E-trac is the best machine Minelab has out there.

Dumped the CTX after it caused me severe forearm and wrist pain last summer. I was belittled, called names, kicked off and banned from the CTX board for telling prospective buyers about my experience. I'm still recovery from tendonitis and nerve damage. The side of my swinging hand, ring and pinky fingers are still numb. The ProSwing didn't help after the damage was already done.

Started with the Deus and picked up a CTX ( Peer pressure ). Keep going back to the Deus. Should sell the CTX but don't want to take the money hit. I guess it makes a good back up machine.
