New Detectors coming out. Time of Year?

I don't know if there is a standard. I would think late Winter to early Spring. C-Scope released 3 new models recently and last year Garrett also released the AT-Pro just before X-Mas I think.

I think bigger than when they want to release the detector is when it is actually finished and ready to go but of course they try to release a machine at a good time.

Anybody else?

Yeah, there don't seem to be any system in the time of year. I think I've seen new models come out about any time of the year. Lately there has been some new models comming out but that actually seems like a bad time of the year to do it. Large parts of Europe and North America usually are so cold now that people don't go detecting for 2-3 months. And who buys a detector when they know they can't use it for 2 months? And I for sure don't get Christmas presents that expensive.

It seems like every April 1st some miraculous detector is introduced..... Other than that, they come when the manufacturer has them ready.

Metal detectors come out at different time because so much testing is done on them before they produce.

I've heard that Fisher is coming out with a dual frequency unit like the CZ, but in a lightweight platform, due out sometime late next year.

That's a long time away.
