New Detector Vs more coils?

Beale

New member
Ok I actually won a contest! I have $330.00 at an on line dealer to spend. I have been looking at getting more coils for my X-Terra 70 or a Tesoro? The coils would be nice and I can always use them. Here is my other thought. What about getting another detector all together?

I have been pondering this a bit. I really like my X-Terra but have often wondered about the Tesoro brand. I could get a brand new Silver and have money left? Or even a Cibola? If you were a coinshooter and looking at the Tesoro as a back up or even just because? Which of these 2 would you get?

I live in central NC and have moderate soil conditions. Would you get the coils ot the Tesoro? Thanks in advance, Beale.

Hi Beale, since you have moderate ground, I think you'd be happy with
another detector, like the Cibola! Plus Tesoro also has many coils for
their units, unlike some other makers that seem to be too negligent in
offering enough coils for their units.
You can get the Cibola online for $340!
Congrats on your win!

Uh, if you're going to get a Tesoro, 1) I wouldn't recommend a Cibola with moderate ground 2) If you're going to do any relic hunting I would either get the Vaquero, or if you can afford it, get the Tejon. I have a Cibola in my lineup and I'm fixin to sell it (it was my first and its a great machine) because the ground in Alabama is moderate and cuts my potential depth by about 2 inches on that machine. In less than moderately mineralized ground I would recommend the Cibola in a heartbeat, easy to use, great on pinpoint. But, if you're hunting any iffy ground you need a ground balance machine.

Hey thanks everyone for the help. I called and talked to my dealer and he also recomended the Vaquero. So that is what I am going to do. I will order it tonight. I am really looking foward th the Vaquero. Thanks for the help again, Beale.
