Well,
I got my new DD 10" 7.5 kHz coil on the 10th and have been using it every chance I get. My real test was to be my "dug out" front yard. So far I have found some deep wheats and some memorials that I had missed and tonight I pulled out a 1925 D Mercury dime! I was jazzed! I also found a key and some copper washers and a lot of this stuff is around the 8 or 9 inch depth. The merc was about 7". I think a lot of the stuff I'm finding is either deeper than I could go before or next to iron signals. I have been going REAL SLOW in all metal mode and 99 tones. The deep stuff is giving me numbers that are bouncing around because of the iron interference but the high notes come through periodicly too and then I dig. I am digging anything that gives me a non ferrous reading that repeats at least one way and sometimes real faintly. I have found wheats and nails in the same hole at different depths. I just take a small section each time and go over it thouroughly and super slow. I really like the coil.
