New CZ-21: LED's ???

I just got a new CZ-21. The owner's manual speaks of two led lights that indicate signal strength and serve as a battery tester. The lights are not on my CZ-21. Did they change after the manual was written?

All CZ's are great machines. I have a CZ-5 and I used to have a CZ-20.
I know the old pinpoint button on the CZ-20 was a weak point, but I don't like this new pinpoint button. You can't reset it like you could the old one.
Other than that I love it. I went to the beach today. The beach is sanded in, so I didn't find much; 61 cents.

Hawg...I believe the newer CZ-21's had the lights removed.

yes, you have right,the LED's are missing but it is not a problem,you do not need them,you must use your ears like a blind man and you will find a lot of things, the cz21 it is a very powerfull machine,belive me,I have a metal detecting company and the cz21 it is a top of the line detector in my inventory.you must learn him and you will be very happy after. good luck first of all. www.detectoaredecomori.eu

I have asked Fisher about this.. i was told they were removed because they changed the control panel material to Nylon which would not support the leds. I never look at mine anyway so don't miss them. the nylon panel is pretty cheap and must be replaced every time the unit is opened for service. that makes for an expensive repair if warranty has expired.
